A Pyrotechnic Showcase of Photo-Realistic Art
This is NOT a Photograph.
More digital goodness, this time from the super mesh gradient tool photo-realistic specialists. One of my favorites being Ussa Methawittayakul, a digital artist from Hatyai, Thailand. Through a structured step-by-step approach, Ussa creates her photo-realistic images as vector drawings with the use of Gradient Mesh in Adobe Illustrator - although these realistic images use a vector base, with the use of the mesh gradient tool, subtle colouring and shading isn’t technically vector art. With that said, she works in a similar fashion to Max Wahyudi (see my previous post ) along with a new wave of emerging photo-realistic artists, all pushing the photo-realistic edges, of what is fashioned by the use of computer software.
For the photo-realist the destination is unimportant, as realistic as it may be. The journey of recreating realism is the real challenge and this challenge is the ultimate reason for pursuing these meticulous pieces of artwork. Along with individual artistic accomplishment, digital realistic art seems to celebrate the reunion of art and science, reflecting technical expertise fused with artistic exploration. As with most high-end technological art forms the beauty and the iconography of the virtual female body is primary subject matter. Here’s a collection of [66] my favorite super-detailed part vectorized imagery, all artists used Illustrator, patience, mastery of their differing subjects and a great deal of time. Enjoy.
